I’m here to help you live your fullest life.
What do I mean by that? I mean that many smart, educated, and insightful people, get stuck. We get to a place where we’ve done the right things, followed good advice, and made logical choices and we still aren’t happy, fulfilled, or feel like we’ve made it. Something’s missing.
Traditional advice would be that you’re expectations are too high. “Be reasonable, just be grateful and content for what you have”. I agree. It’s important to live in the present, to be logical and rational, grounded in reality and to have gratitude and contentment as part of your daily immersion.
I also believe that there are things that hold us back from having more abundant health. Emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I believe that often we hold ourselves back – consciously or unconsciously. To want more isn’t selfish. I believe that when we are living our fullest life we have the opportunity to give more to others and to create meaningful legacies. It’s not about selfish pursuits for the sake of greed or material gains.
I’ve been there.
I got the right education, pursued the expected career paths, connected with who I thought were the best people at the time. As good as I was at any one thing, I never felt satisfied. I always felt like there should be something more but didn’t know how to get there. I was being held back by old patterns that I wasn’t even aware of that chipped away at my self confidence and my energy. I was too self critical and my vision was too small. I was easily bored and restless. I never saw beyond basic sufficiency in all areas of my life.
The concept of abundance was beyond my imagination. I hadn’t ever known it and I didn’t know how to create it. Not because I wasn’t smart enough, but because I hadn’t done my own work, and I hadn’t connected with the right wisdom let alone the daily practice required to develop it. I felt frustrated and kind of pathetic really.
Multiple and major traumatic life events occurred all in a short period of time in my life that shook me up and caused me to challenge my perceptions. As a result I came to a place amidst the rubble where I realized that I could choose to live in mere sufficiency in all areas of my life, or I could wake up and expand my vision to think beyond what I had known. I chose the latter. I woke up, got up, opened my eyes and started challenging everything I knew in every area of my life.
I got hungry.
For information, for change. I got focused. Wide vision – intense focus. I got comfortable with being uncomfortable and kept marching forward. I started to meet things head on instead of avoiding them or passive aggressively maneuvering around them.
Choosing daily, consistent, practices and being intentional with my thoughts, emotions, and habits, resulted in a ripple effect of positive change and expansion in my life.
I’m not exceptional.
I don’t have higher IQ or more unique talents than you do. I made some big choices in every area of my life consistent with all I knew about how the brain can change to support that. And life continues to get bigger.
I’m not a life coach. I’m not a business coach.
I don’t replace important one on one professional counselling here. What I bring you is neuroscience-based practices and advice from thousands of hours of specialized training, research, and psychotherapy sessions with clients from my private practice along with all the wisdom I learned along the way and the new wisdom I continue to explore.
I’m here to help you get grounded. To get solid. To expand the vision of your life by challenging irrational beliefs that you might have held onto your whole life. To increase your resiliency. To get bold and start to live bigger, taking up your full space in your life, in the world. To come to a place vibrancy and joy in your life.
